Dragon Wars – NAY

As two dragon-led armies bring their war to the city of Los Angeles, an ailing young woman (Brooks) and reporter (Behr) realize their centuries-old connection to one another is the only thing can restore peace on Earth. -IMDB

Could it be any worse? I hate movies where people are distantly related and whenever the world is ending they magically meet and have to save the world. Nobody wants to save the world with that cousin you have seen at reunions but never approached or talked to because they are from “that side” of the family.

Mr. Woodcock – NAY

Sean Williams Scott’s character is a self help guru who returns home in an effort to stop his mom, Susan Sarandon, from marrying his old high school gym teacher, Billy Bob Thornton. Scott’s character and Thornton’s character have an obvious unpleasant history together.
My initial reaction to seeing this trailer was “cheap laughs.” The title of the movie (which is also the name of Thornton’s character) is given proof. Any teenager would see this and giggle because of the obvious connotations. So apparently this version of the movie is not the intended way the director wanted it. Scott was almost recast and replaced. So with the filming history of this movie, one can only imagine what the outcome is going to be.

The Brave One – YAY

Okay so here we go. Based on the trailer this is what we can gather what the movie will be about. Jodi Foster’s character is attacked and her husband(maybe fiance?) is dead. She is now set out on revenge in a modern Kill Bill style. It looks very action packed but my only worry is the storyline and how the plot goes. Previews are saying this is Jodi Foster at her best in a while. Compared to everything else that is being released this weekend. This one is probably the one to go see.
