Kate Nash – YAY

The new British import, Kate Nash, has started quite a stir in the pop world. Nash, being touted as the Lily Allen replacement, is receiving a warm reception in the United States and across the pond. The ubiquitous single “Foundations” is in heavy rotation on MTV, and the ever abundant MTV sister channels. The album, Made of Brick, is rife with lyrics about broken relationships told with a fascinating realism that resonates with her fans.

Since Lily Allen is reportedly preggers, James Blunt makes us all want to commit suicide, and Amy Winehouse is in need of rehab, the listening public may turn to Kate Nash as a saving grace. The album, at the very least, deserves more than a cursory listen.
