Anonymous, Taking Down Scientology

Anonymous – YAY

1952 was the year science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard founded the Church of creepiness-er-Scientology. The belief centered on the idea that we’re all Thetans –immortal beings- that have lived through past lives and are affected by moments of unconsciousness. And according to xenu.com, it takes some major mula to access the documents and receive higher-operating Thetan treatments.

According to Free Press Release distribution site PRLog.org, “Scientology has also faced criticism over the cost required to progress through its “auditing” system, with the total bill for completing the course estimated at $365,000 – $380,000.” A example of pricings set by the Church of Scientology is found at xenu.net, which states, “It will cost you $33,835 to take the Hubbard Solo Auditor Course (Parts I & II) and the other courses to OT III.”

What’s worse- the Catholic Church’s indulgences, or charging in upwards of four private University educations in order to become free from engrams (nasty thoughts that psychology can’t help because “Scientology is the only way”)?

Well, some people are pissed. And those people, namely, are Anonymous. They’re sick of the CoS, calling them a brainwashing cult in an assaulting public message on YouTube on their profile, Church0fScientology.

Jan. 19 marked the start of this particular war, though the Church has faced some internet attacks in the past.

According to partyvan.info, a site that claims to be the property of Anonymous vaguely describes itself as a menagerie of internet users ranging from “YouTubers,” “hacker groups,” “trolls of the world” and “GameFAQs members.”

The site not only contains links to what appears to be dozens of secret Higher Operating Thetan documents (aka: word salad) which is only available to prestigious (aka: rich) members of the CoS, it also lists several ways that people can anonymously take part in the harassment of the CoS.

How so?
Prank calls. Yes! We can do it too.
Black Faxing. Sending them a million faxes to waste their ink.
And, yes folks, the highly intellectual assault known as Pizza Bombing.

They also crashed their server. Amazing.

Anonymous stated, “With the leakage of your latest propaganda video into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who trust you, who call you leader, has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed.” Anonymous’ video states that Scientology is a litigious and hypocritical “church” that suppresses dissent and misinforms people.

Yeah, bitches!

If you want to laugh at what Anonymous is laughing at, See Gawker.com’s video “The Cruise Indoctrination Video Scientology Tried To Suppress.”

Okay, so yeah people may take Scientology’s practice and videos out of context, but the fact is they’re loonies.

One time, my friend and I visited the CoS, and –of course- I started arguing with the tour guide about Thetans and psychology and how she didn’t like me calling her a “crazy f**k.” Plus, there were credit card machines bolted to tables so you could conveniently purchase Hubbard’s guide to Crock of Shit.

So yeah. YAY for Anonymous!

Merci,
Lisa Marie
